Who We Are?

OPEN’s Foundation Committee was established in mid of 2016 and requested the approval of OSE to form OPEN, approval was granted in Nov 2016. Subsequently IET, IMechE, ICE, IChemE, IStructE, RICS, RIBA were requested to sponsor OPEN. DIT/British Embassy Muscat played a significant role in securing the consent of these PIs to collaborate with/support OPEN. That process was completed in Nov 2017, and then RTPI was requested and agreed to support OPEN as well. This was followed by forming OPEN’s first Steering Committee and inaugurating OPEN in Feb 2018. The Steering Committee was restructured in Feb 2020 and mid-2021. The Steering Committee was replaced in Dec 2023 by a Board of Directors..
